RULES OF PLAY

All rules will be in accordance with NCAA standards unless otherwise noted.

  1. Playing time will consist of two 25 minute running time periods with a 5 minute halftime.  Games will begin promptly.  Time will stop for injuries and timeouts.
  2. Each team will receive one 45 second timeout per half.  Timeouts will not carry over to the next half.  The game clock will stop for timeouts.
  3. No overtime in regulation play.
  4. All ties in playoff games will be decided by an unlimited sudden victory period.  Teams will defend the end they did in the first half.
  5. No player may compete on more than one team in the same division.  Teams in violation of this rule will forfeit the games in which the player is known to have played.
  6. Any player, coach or fan ejected from a game will be prohibited from competing in/coaching/watching his/her team's next game.

MENS VARIANCES

  1. There will be no stick checks unless requested by the opposing coach.  If the stick is not found to be illegal, the challenging team will be charged a timeout.  If no timeouts remain, a delay of game technical foul will be assessed.
  2. All sticks must meet NCAA standards
  3. There are no horns.  All substitution must be on the fly with the exception of a time serving penalty.  On a time serving penalty teams will be given a quick horn to get EMO or EMD on the field.

 

SCORING

Points will be awarded after each game as follows:

  • 5 points for a win
  • 2 ponts for a tie
  • 0 points for a loss

Ties will be broken in the following manner and sequence:

  • Head to head play
  • Most wins
  • Fewest goals allowed
  • Total poing differential (not to exceed +3 or -3 in any game)
  • Coin Toss

Any playoff games that end in a tie will be resolved by an unlimited sudden victory overtime period.

One referee at each game will hold the scorecard for that game. At the end of each game the referee will record the official score and sign the scorecard.  A tournament representative will then pick up the scorecard and return it to the registration tent.  All scores and point totals will be posted on the main scoreboard located in front of the registration tent.

 

  1. Playing time will consist of two 20 minute running time halves with a five minute halftime.  Games will begin promptly.  There will be no stop/start in the last two minute except for timeouts and injuries.
  2. Each team will receive one 30 second timeout per half.  Timeouts will not carry over to the next half.
  3. Penalties will be running time.  The penalty time will begin wthe the official blows the whistle to restart play.
  4. No overtime in regulation play.
  5. All ties in playoff games will be decided by an unlimited sudden victory period.
  6. Any player, coach or fan ejected from a game will be prohibited from competing in/coaching/watching his/hers next game.
