Participants and Loyal Supporters:
Since the announcement was made that the 2009 LAX Vegas tournament has been cancelled, we have received numerous phone calls and emails expressing disappointment and anger. We ask you to please understand that no one is more disappointed about having to cancel the event than we are. Our company has a substantial amount of time, effort and money invested in this tournament that has been lost. In response to the many calls and emails, we want to let you know that we did look at a wide variety of options on moving the event location.
In addition, we had to consult several sponsors and host hotels with which we have contracts and financial obligations. It was only after evaluating these options and the feedback from sponsors and partners that the painful decision to cancel the event was made. Again, we are extremely sorry for any hardships this may have created for you.
Remember … the tournament WILL return again in 2010!

DEAR LAX VEGAS PARTICIPANTS & LOYAL SUPPORTERS …
Due to circumstances beyond our control and with great regret, we must inform you that the 12th Annual Lax Vegas Tournament has been cancelled!
We were recently informed that UNLV made the decision to book the intramural fields for an internal event over the same weekend as our LAX Vegas Tournament. This was an extreme shock to us as we had been assured by the head coach of the UNLV Men’s Lacrosse team, who must secure the fields on our behalf, that the fields were secured for LAX Vegas months ago. We have pursued every possible avenue within the UNLV system to try and work out a resolution that would allow us to move forward with the 2009 event with no success. As a result, we had no other choice but to cancel this year’s tournament.
We hope you understand the situation and apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause. By no means does this mark the end of LAX Vegas. Rest assured, the tournament will return again in 2010 and will be bigger & better than ever!
Again, thank you for your understanding. We look forward to seeing you in 2010.
Stay tuned…
